The kingdom of Osiris

Day 1: Luxor

Arrival at Luxor airport, welcome and transfer by private vehicle to your boat. Overnight on board.

Day 2: Luxor

Breakfast. Crossing the Nile for the west bank, where the sun sets (the City of the Dead). Visit the Valley of the Kings. The day continues with the discovery of the impressive funerary temple of Ramses III in Medinet Habou. Then visit the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch on board. Sailing all afternoon towards Esna. The magnificent landscapes of the Nile scroll, while discovering the daily life of peasants along the banks of the Nile. Dinner and overnight on board

Day 3: Esna / El Kab

Breakfast on board. Pass through the Esna lock, visit the temple of the god Khnum. Lunch on board. Navigation to El Kab, the ancient city of Nekheb. You can see the city, mainly the walls of King Nectanebo. The necropolis hosted the families of the princes of the city in the Middle Kingdom and early eighteenth dynasty in the New Kingdom. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 4: Edfu

Breakfast on board. Departure for the visit of the temple of Edfu, the holy city of Horus and the temple built in his honor. Lunch on board. Navigation to Wadi el Chott. Walk through a typical Egyptian village to reach Jabal El Silsila. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 5: Djebel El Silsileh

Breakfast on board. Departure for the visit of Jebel El Silsileh ("mountain chain"), career in which thousands of workers worked, from the pharaohs of the XVIII dynasty until the year 200 AD. Visit the temple of Horemheb, with the presence of stelae-chapels that dedicate the offerings to the river. Lunch on board. Navigation To Kom Ombo. Visit the temple of Kom Ombo whose particularity is to be dedicated to two deities: Sobek (with crocodile's head) and Horus (with falcon's head). Then sail to Aswan. Dinner and overnight on board

Day 6: Aswan

Breakfast on board. Departure for the visit of the temple of Philae dedicated to the goddess Isis. Navigation to Luxor. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 7: Luxor

Breakfast on board. Free morning while sailing to Luxor. Lunch on board. Visit the temple of Karnak. Dedicated to the god Amon but like many Egyptian temples, other gods and goddesses were venerated there. It is the oldest known religious site in the world. Then visit the temple of Luxor: dedicated to the dynastic god Amon in its two aspects of heavenly Amon-Re and ithyphallic divinity (the oldest parts currently visible go back to Amenhotep III and Ramses II). Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 8: Luxor

Breakfast on board. End of the cruise on the dahabiyah, transfer by private vehicle to Luxor International Airport for your departure.
